Board of Directors
Jill has been diving for 15 years...so long, in fact, that she feels just at home below water as she does above. In 2009 Jill decided to take her diving career to the next level by becoming a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. Jill cherishes the opportunity to share her passion for the underwater world with others, and loves the look of exhilaration on the faces of new students as they breathe underwater for the first time. Jill continued her professional development by becoming an HSA (Handicapped Scuba Association) Instructor in 2011 and a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer in 2016; training that only better equips her to serve the hero divers at Diving with Heroes. Jill is excited to be involved in Diving with Heroes and is eager to continue to share her passion and love for the underwater world with others!
Joe became a certified diver in 1978, while in the Air Force and stationed in Texas. He began diving nearly every day during his next assignment in Athens, Greece. Today, Joe is one of four founders of Integrity Applications Incorporated, and is chairman of the board. Joe has thousands of dives, and had to create his own curriculum for night diving specialty because one didn’t exist way back when. As an Air Force veteran, serving more than 18 years before retiring, Joe is dedicated to serving his country, his community, his church and his family. Diving with Heroes is one more way he can serve a worthy and deserving community.
Chris, while not a diver or a veteran, plays a key role on the Diving with Heroes' team as treasurer. After getting his professional start working for the Federal government, he moved to working in private industry and for many years has served as a Chief Financial Officer for a large construction firm in northern Virginia. He is active in his church and excited to be part of Diving with Heroes as the team strives to bring the wonders of the ocean to our wounded heroes.
Director of Communication
Scott is a veteran, serving more than 22 years in the Air Force in a variety of positions. He has been diving for just six years, but has become very comfortable underwater, and looks forward to each and every dive. He completed his Handicapped Scuba Association (HSA) Dive Buddy certification in 2015. Scott is very excited to part of the Diving with Heroes team, and benefits it brings to our injured and wounded veterans.
